Popular BBQ experience in Australia

Australians have always been keen on cooking local fresh ingredients on fire and making them into delicious barbecue dishes. This tradition has a history of more than 60000 years. Recently, the Netflix documentary series Chef's Table released one of four new series Chef's Table: Barbecue. This series features four chefs who specialise in grilling, including Lennox Hastie from Sydney's Firedoor restaurant. Lennox gives the audience an Australian barbecue experience. Chef's Table: Barbecue is supported by Tourism Australia and has been available in more than 190 countries and territories via Netflix since April 2015.

The kitchen stove of Firedoor Restaurant is blazing. Chef Hastie burns a variety of woods every day to make charcoal for barbecue, so as to roast authentic Australian food with natural flavor. The back kitchen of the restaurant is open. Guests can sit at the bar and watch the chef make food. In Firedoor Restaurant, from oysters and octopuses, to cabbage and zucchini, or dried beef jerky after 150 days in the restaurant, even all kinds of bread and pastries are cooked through barbecue.


In the Australian feature of the documentary Chef's Table: Barbecue, the audience followed the chef Hastie to find famous Australian specialties and local ingredients, and then walked into the Firedoor Restaurant and outdoor picturesque barbecue spots to experience the charm of barbecue. Visitors can go to Douglas Harbor to experience the Walkabout Adventures, and follow Juan Walker to explore Queensland. At The Welcome Home Stone Grill in Longrich, diners can use stone ovens to barbecue meat ingredients. The selected fresh meat menu has Australian characteristics, including kangaroo meat and crocodile meat.



South Australia
There is a free barbecue facility in the cave garden in South Australia. Tourists can buy food at the Collins Court Butcher butcher shop in Gambier Mountain, and then go to the 72 meter deep sunken garden to enjoy the beautiful scenery while barbecue in the oasis.

Asado restaurant on the south bank is good at cooking traditional barbecue food with open fire pit and 3m long charcoal grill.



Melbourne's Fancy Hank's restaurant buys free range poultry from Jeppsland, which is a popular barbecue restaurant in Melbourne.



Melbourne's Vue de Monde restaurant provides guests with a distinctive dining experience. The restaurant has an elegant environment. Chef Hugh Allen uses local ingredients and traditional Australian barbecue cooking methods. The restaurant's signature dishes include charcoal toast.



Western Australia
