Every summer, people in Europe and the United States will hold many outdoor activities in the yard of their homes, including Backyard Barbeque and Pool Side Party are the most popular, but also bring unlimited business opportunities for retailers.

Barbecue products market analysis

United States: The United States is one of the largest markets for outdoor barbecue products. Research firm Ibisworld reported in May 2017 that the BBQ & Outdoor Cooking market in the United States has reached $7 billion, with an annual growth rate of +2.8% (2012-2017). The global barbecue utensils market reached $26.58 billion in 2023, an increase of 20.3%, and Statista data predicts that by 2027 it will exceed the market size of $51.5 billion.

Seventy-five percent of American adults own a Grill or a Smoker. The majority (63%) of those who own outdoor grills use them year-round, with 43% having a barbecue at least once a month during the winter months. Barbecuing isn't just an evening activity; 11% of those who own an outdoor barbecue used it to prepare breakfast in the past year.

UK: Outdoor barbecue and related products are a market of more than $1.7 billion in the UK. Outdoor barbecues have become an increasingly popular summer event.

Germany: Outdoor barbecue is a very popular family activity in Germany, with a market of about $1.4 billion and relatively flat annual growth. Local consumers are more particular about barbecue supplies and related products.

Australia: According to an online survey, nearly two-thirds of Australian households own barbecue products; In rural and suburban areas, more than three-quarters of households have frequent barbecue activities and barbecue products, which is second only to the United States.
