However, in November 2007, a 63 year old French man set a world record in Morocco's capital by virtue of roast camels.



This French man, whose name is Falco, has appeared in the Guinness World Records for no less than 6 times, and has created challenges related to barbecue every time. For example, in 1996, he created the largest steak in the world, and in 2007, he roasted the largest piece of barbecue in history on the Safi beach in Morocco. It took him 15 hours to successfully roast a 550 kg camel.

It is said that on the night when the camel meat was roasted, more than 500 diners gathered on Safi beach, and each of them only had to pay $19 to eat the world's largest roast meat. However, Falco was not ready to stop this challenge. He said that his next plan was to set a record of barbecued bison on the largest fire in Costa Rica. He did not know whether this challenge would refresh the ranking of the world's largest roast meat.

And the process of baking this camel is not easy, just like making the world's largest pumpkin pie, which requires a lot of manpower and material resources. At that time, the wood burned by the barbecue alone weighed 3 tons, not including the seasonings applied to the camel meat, and 15 liters of vegetable oil.
